He changed his name by changing it from Mike Towers to Myke Towers to pay tribute to the music group Young Kingz of which he is a member changing the i to a y initial letter that is the first character in the name of the group. Myke towers is an Puerto Rico underground rapper who began his career in the teen years. His freestyles were uploaded and his original compositions on his SoundCloud. The artist gained fame in 2014 with songs such as Dia de cobro Por Mi Es Normal and En los Bloques. His freestyle La Nueva Droga, and his reworking of Drake's first song "0 to 100" also attracted attention in the music industry of urban.
