Dua Lipa was born 22nd August, 1995 in London the United Kingdom. Her self-titled debut was released in 2017 following her joined Warner Bros Records. It climbed to the third spot in the U.K. Chart for Albums. The album released eight singles, among them Be The Only I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules (UK number one). It also peaked to number 6 on the charts in the United States. The album, which has since been certified Platinum in various nations around the globe was awarded two Brit Awards (in the year 2018) for British female single artist as well as British Breakthrough Artist. Dua Lipa, born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London, was born on August 22, 1995. Her parents are of Bosnian heritage via her mother's grandmother. Her family tree can be tracked back to the Kosovo city of Peja. Her grandparents were both historians and professors. She is the sister of Rina Lipa, and has an older brother called Gjin. Lipa was influenced musically by her father, who is also the lead guitarist and singer for the Kosovan the group Oda. In the family, her father would continue to play music including his music and compositions, as well as songs of David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics.
